Camping
Camping is a engaging way to experience Kings Canyon. Besides backcountry wilderness camping with pack, there are eight vehicular campgrounds, most of which can accomodate recreational vehicles up to 30 feet long. The Canyon View campgrounds are tent-only.

- Azalea: in high country near General Grant Grove of sequoias, near park entrance. Charming in white bloom. Forty-mile drive to inner canyon. RVs up to 30 feet long.
- Sunset: 6600 feet in elevation, near General Grant Grove, near park entrance. Forty-mile drive to inner canyon. RVs up to 30 feet long. Big Stump Trail accessible.
- Crystal Springs: in high country near General Grant Grove of sequoias. Forty-mile drive to inner canyon. RVs up to 22 feet long. Near Cedar Grove Village for supplies.
- Sentinel: along Kings River. Stunning views of Kings Canyon and quick access to Cedar Grove Village for supplies and programs. RVs up to 30 feet long.
- Sheep Creek: great views of Kings Canyon, located along Sheep Creek. Quick access to Cedar Grove Village for supplies and programs. RVs up to 30 feet long.
- Canyon View: elevation 4600 feet. Great views of Kings Canyon. Quick access to Cedar Grove Village for supplies and programs. Tents only.
- Canyon View Group Camp: reservations required, 20-person minimum. Tents only. Quick access to Cedar Grove Village for supplies and programs.
- Moraine: along Kings River, overflow only. Elevation 4600 feet. Tents and RVs.
